Upon Completion of this course students will be able to:

1. Discuss the history of Aromatherapy
2. Discuss uses for essential oils throughout history
3. Define how essential oils are produced
4. Demonstrate how to use 20 essential oils and carriers oils
5. How to take a Client History
6. How to formulate a blend for Client's specific needs
7. Demonstrate knowledge of the chemistry of essential oils
8. Be able to develop clear goals for an Aromatherapy practice
9. Define difference of fragrance vs essential oils
10. Define difference in oils due to country of origin
11. Define elements in determining the quality of an essential oil
12. Discuss a variety of oils to use for specific facial needs
13. Discuss a variety of oils to use for specific bodily needs
14. Provide an overview of the olfactory system
15. Demonstrate knowledge in the contraindications of essential oils

This program will aid massage therapists who are looking for more knowledge on creating a healthy practice for themselves and for their clients. Spa practitioners, acupuncturists, store owners and healthcare providers will also benefit themselves, their clients and their customers by increasing their knowledge and uses for essential oils.

Students will have to complete the following for certification:

• 5-10 page research paper
• 10 case studies and follow-ups
• Final Level Test

There are no prerequisites for taking this course. A manual and cd will be mailed to you.

Students will receive a Certificate upon successful completion of this course by e-mail.
